Academic Advisor Tasks

Duties of the academic advisor:

1- Effective communication with counseling students and holding periodic meetings with them.

2- Discuss the student's study plan and study schedule, and then fill in the guidance forms for registering courses during the period of addition and drop set by the university.

3- Monitoring students' performance, evaluating their performance during the study period, and providing guidance and counseling to them.

4- Follow up the student's attendance record and emphasize the importance of attendance and discipline during the study period.

5- Identifying students who are failing academically and conducting interviews with them to identify the reasons for this failure and trying to find appropriate solutions to overcome them, and to raise this to the Counseling Unit in the college through the relevant forms.

6- Studying psychological and social obstacles, providing the necessary assistance available, and seeking help from psychologists in the Central Student Guidance and Counseling Unit.

7- Identify gifted and academically gifted students and develop an appropriate plan for their care
