Department Objectives
Equipping graduates with the cognitive skills and applied capabilities that make them of a high level of quality when  facing the challenges of work and the public through
  • Teaching the fundamentals of Pharmacognosy, such as how to identify medicinal plants and chemically active chemicals, how to extract them, how to identify their building parts, how to analyze them, and how to use these ingredients in the treatment of diseases.
  • To legitimize herbal medicines and ensure their quality as pharmaceutical products using current chromatographic and spectroscopic technologies.
  • Teaching recent advances in biotechnological approaches useful for improved production of bioactive biomolecules from natural sources.
  • Teaching ongoing and renewable treatment of endemic diseases and clarifying the direction and field of herbal medicine.
  • Developing the pharmacy service by providing natural medicines that are both safe and effective.
